If you want a book that is owned by another UH system library, search for the book in the library catalog.  When the book record is displayed, click on the REQUEST BUTTON at the top of the page.

The system will ask you to authenticate with your last name and library barcode number (200 in front of your student/faculty/staff ID number), and to indicate where you want to pick up the material.

You will be notified via your UHCL email account when the material is ready to be picked up.

HOWEVER, if you want a book that is not owned by another UH system library, you may request it through our Illiad Interlibrary Loan.  PLEASE NOTE:  WE DO NOT ORDER REQUIRED TEXTBOOKS via Interlibrary Loan.

If you need an article that UHCL does not have access to, you will also need to request it through Interlibrary Loan.

To get to the Interlibrary Loan request forms for books and articles:

From the library homepage, click on Quick Links and  ILLiad Interlibrary Loan, and follow the directions to request the book from another library.
